2. What disease does Auropodox treat?
Auropodox is indicated for use in the treatment of the following infections:
Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections including acute otitis media, sinusitis, tonsillitis and pharyngitis. Treatment of community-acquired acute pneumonia. Treatment of acute gonococcal infection without associated complications. Treatment of urinary tract infections without associated complications. Treatment of skin and skin structure infections.
3. Usage and dosage of the drug Auropodox
3.1. Dosage of the drug Treatment dose for adults:
Treatment dose for upper respiratory tract infections, including tonsillitis and pharyngitis: the dose is 100 mg every 12 hours for 10 days. Dose for community-acquired acute pneumonia: 200 mg every 12 hours for 14 days. Dosage for treatment of acute gonococcal infection without complications: a single dose of 200 mg. Dose for treatment of uncomplicated urinary tract infections: 100 mg every 12 hours for 7 days. Dosage for skin and skin structure infections: 400 mg every 12 hours for 7 to 14 days. Dosage for children:
Dosage for acute otitis media: 10 mg/kg/day (maximum 400 mg/day divided into 2 divided doses) for 10 days. Dose to treat pharyngitis and tonsillitis: 10 mg/kg/day (maximum 200 mg/day divided into 2 times) for 10 days. Active ingredient Cefpodoxime should be administered with meals during the day. In subjects with renal impairment (creatinine clearance less than 30 ml/min), the dosing interval should be increased to 24 hours. No dose adjustment is required for patients with cirrhosis. 3.2.
